D'pama House By SDM

The most disappointing part was the shared kitchen. It was very dirty and neglected, and everything looked poorly maintained. The air fryer had rust stains; dried-out rice had apparently been left in the rice cooker for weeks or even months; there were no supplies for cleaning the worktop, and the microfiber cloths were dirty and worn out. The pots and pans were worn or badly damaged, and the sponge was in poor shape. Worst of all was the refrigerator. It was completely filthy, clearly not cleaned in months, maybe years, and I don't understand how they leave it available in that state, especially since the tenants didn't seem bothered. I found food that expired in early 2024, so the fridge clearly isn't sorted between tenants. We were asked to label our food, but nothing was provided for that, and they told us not to pour cooking oil in the sink without saying where to put it instead. The rooms were generally quite clean, though the cleaning wasn't thorough. There were lots of cobwebs and spiders on the ceilings and under desks, splash marks on the walls, and dust under the bed, on top of the upper cabinets, and above the curtains. A more careful clean would have been a real plus for an otherwise lovely guesthouse. There are plenty of good points. The luxurious house is beautifully decorated with traditional ornaments, and the quiet neighborhood is close to rice paddies, with places to sit and enjoy the view. Several roads lead away from the city center for leisurely walks or jogging. Rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning and double beds, as well as a bath towel, bath mat, desk, wardrobe, bedside table, nightlight and other things needed for a pleasant stay. There’s garage space for scooters or bicycles. The rooftop is beautifully decorated and has an incredible view of the surrounding area, Wi-Fi, a large solid wood table, power outlets throughout and ceiling lights. They can arrange airport pickup on arrival or a drop-off when you leave for a small extra fee, and scooter rental is also available. Check-in starts at 2 PM, though you can ask to leave luggage earlier or check in early if your room is ready. Check-out is at 12 PM, with a later departure possible for an additional fee.
