Double'D Guest House

I had to leave early because of a safety issue at this guesthouse, and I’m still waiting for my refund. There’s no privacy here, and the staff were very unhelpful, as other comments have said. Don’t book this place.

The rooms are spacious, white, and lovely, and they’re quiet too. I’ve stayed here two years running because it’s such a lovely place. The staff and the family who run it are truly kind, and you feel surrounded by a lot of warmth and care.

The location was great, and the staff did help, but I wouldn’t choose this guesthouse again. They had a party until 1 AM one night without telling me before I booked. It was incredibly loud. When I asked them to turn it down because I had to get up early, they did so reluctantly and dismissed my request. They didn’t apologize, and instead blamed me for wanting to sleep. I barely slept, and honestly the staff weren’t very friendly. Other guesthouses offer much better service.

I’d stay here again. It’s comfortable and affordable, with a pool, hot water, friendly staff, and cleaning every two or three days. The place is tucked off the main road in Canggu, but close to healthy food spots and plenty of other restaurants. I was focused on getting back into fitness: the gym is a three-minute walk, coworking is six minutes away, and the beach is eight minutes away. The gym and coworking space aren’t cheap, though. Water pressure can vary, and the bathrooms aren’t spectacular. The shared kitchen is okay, but I wouldn’t use it every day. WiFi was fairly stable most of the time, probably about as reliable as the general connection in the area.
