The owner wouldn’t refund us or offer meaningful compensation, even though we left almost as soon as we arrived because of the room’s condition. We’d booked five nights based on the online photos and description, but the room was far dirtier than pictured. There was a strong moldy odor as soon as we entered, and both my girlfriend and I felt airway irritation almost immediately. She has asthma, so we were especially concerned about the air quality. We found visible mold in the bathroom, heavy limescale, a dusty ventilation system that looked moldy, and black spots on the bedding. We didn’t think the room was suitable for us, so we checked out about two hours after arrival and paid for another hotel ourselves. We’d paid for five nights but didn’t spend even one night there. The accommodation didn’t match the standard shown in the listing, and we wouldn’t have booked if the room’s actual condition had been represented accurately. I’d urge future guests to check recent photos and reviews carefully.

The bonsai-filled garden and little koi pond make this hotel feel stunning. Right in the heart of Canggu, it’s cozy and very clean, with big rooms and a spacious pool. I’d recommend it to everyone. Best.

Everything felt welcoming, from the helpful staff to the comfortable shared kitchen and pool, which were cozy and well maintained. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the location was ideal: an easy walk to the beach and close to good shops and cafes. We really loved our stay and would recommend it for a relaxing visit.

The Wi-Fi was slow, and the room smelled and seemed a bit dirty when I arrived. I was only given one towel. The check-in staff were a bit rude, too. They let me look at the room, but when I said it wasn’t very clean or great, they basically said, too bad, you booked a nonrefundable rate. That’s probably how they get you, haha.

I’d stayed in plenty of places around Bali at the same price or even more, and this was easily my favorite guesthouse in Canggu. I went twice. For 30 euros a night, the rooms were big, very clean, and had great Balinese interiors and decor. The shower was huge and really well designed. The pool area and shared kitchen were nice too. I can definitely recommend it.
