The team were kind throughout, and Thiago, the manager, was especially supportive and attentive during our stay. Maurice and the climbing team also made my sessions enjoyable. There’s plenty to do here: swimming pools, a training centre, a surfskate track, several climbing walls, and more. I also used the laundry service and it was perfect. The restaurant has a good range at reasonable prices, and breakfast was great. My favourite was the nasi goreng with tuna skewers. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many key attractions in Canggu. I’d recommend it and would definitely come back.

The staff were wonderful, always smiling, helpful, and bringing good vibes. The food was delicious, with generous portions, and the room was huge and really comfortable. There’s a large gym with an ocean view, so I could watch the beautiful sunset from there or from the climbing wall without going to the beach. The surroundings are beautiful too.

When we came back a year later, we still enjoyed our stay, though a few things didn’t work as well. I only understood my mistakes through video analysis, and even after booking surf lessons with instructors, I didn’t feel I was making progress. Booking was a hassle and there wasn’t much flexibility. This time the experience was good, but some things need improvement, and it felt more focused on money than anything else. Our 2022 stay had been a dream. We loved the surf camp and the community, made lots of friends, and found the WhatsApp group and social events a great way to meet other guests. The surf school ran classes twice a day, with a tasty breakfast together after the morning session. Thanks so much to the surf instructors and staff at Kima surf. I’ll definitely come back to stay and surf. Our private room was comfortable, with a big shower in the outdoor bathroom. It was our favourite part of the Bali trip.

The açaí bowls deserve a mention, they’re the best I’ve ever had. I stayed in a spacious, comfortable private room and made incredible memories at kima, so I’ll definitely be back. Social hosts put on activities for guests, and you can pick what you like or sit them out. They were always fun and a lovely way to meet people. When I didn’t surf, I could relax by the pool or try the rock climbing wall. The yoga classes were great after a surf sesh.

The people here are lovely, the food is really good, and the activities kept things entertaining. I enjoyed the surf lessons on different beaches and the yoga too. It was a great surf camp experience, and I’d highly recommend staying here in Bali if you want to experience Balinese life and keep busy.
