The manager was really friendly. I asked about shopping, and he gave me a ride on his motorbike to the nearest store. I'd like to explore the neighborhood next time. The room didn't match the photo on AGODA. I can accept that, but from a Japanese perspective, no toilet paper and no trash can in the room are drawbacks. The room could use more attention to cleaning, and at least the foot mats should be dry and ready for guests. It also takes some skill to open and close the room lock. Getting the shower temperature right takes careful balancing of the hot and cold water. It's very difficult to get the mix right, and if you use too much hot water, the water will be cold for the rest of your shower, so be careful. The entrance gate is locked at night. They'll open it if you contact them, but it's a hassle if you want to come and go late at night or early in the morning. Agoda says check-in and check-out are at 2pm, but checkout is actually at 12pm. When I chose this location for a Grab taxi, I was surprised to get a message saying it was already closed, even though it's still operating properly. I don't think Japanese people would make a special trip here, so that's okay.

A quiet place at a cheap price, with a comfortable room where the kids slept soundly. There's a decent yard right in front of the room for them to play.

We booked a room on the spot, and there were no towels or toiletries. That may have been because I didn't use the app. Still, it's well worth the very affordable price for a bigger family on a budget. The place is a villa rented by the room, so it feels a bit like a boarding house. It's on the same road as the Gunung Pancar tourist attraction and Jungle Land. The access road is smooth and wide enough for two cars to pass, and there are lots of food stalls along the way with reasonable prices. There's Miss Alfa and Mas Indo nearby too, hehe. You can find Padangnese nasbung for 10,000 Rupiah and fried snacks for a thousand Rupiah. The locals are very friendly and always ask where you're going when you stop at a stall, very Indonesian and Sundanese, hehe. Google Maps was accurate. The rooms are right near the villa entrance, restaurant, and pool. Parking fits up to 10 SUVs, and motorcycle parking is close to the rooms. The guards live in the same area, so they're easy to find, friendly, and helpful. The bed and carpet were clean, the bathroom fairly clean, the water heater okay, and the AC really cool. The TV was clear, though it only had local channels. The pool was fine, with a shallow safe section where even babies could play. The dispenser was okay, and there was a shared stove. The outdoor toilet was very clean. Karaoke and the cafe share one spot, which was nice though not very spacious. The restaurant has a fairly complete menu at affordable prices. I'd suggest bringing mosquito repellent, since I saw mosquitoes flying in front of my eyes yesterday, hehe. Another nice thing, kids under 17 stay free, hehee.
