Casa Monte Rosa Hotel

Getting to the hotel is the main concern. The access road is steep and tricky, and there’s only room for one car at a time, or two if both drivers go slowly and carefully. An experienced driver may be fine with it. The rooms are spacious and not bad. It’s chilly at night, so having no air conditioning wasn’t an issue for me, and I was okay with there being no bathtub. The TV has local and international channels, though the signal is pretty poor. The bed was hard and creaky, which I didn’t like. Breakfast was okay.

The food is good and very affordable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The whole place is well maintained, clean, nice, and quiet. It works well for seminars or meetings, and families can enjoy the kids’ corner too. Highly recommended!

I paid IDR 400,000 net for a weekend stay, and at that price I liked the place and would come back. The room was spacious, had a small balcony, and was set back from the main road, so it was quiet. Service was friendly and quick, the WiFi was good, and I liked the simple breakfast, especially the sausage and scrambled egg. A few things need attention: my towel was dirty, there’s no air conditioning, and the room had tea but no coffee. More TV channels would be nice too.

The hotel restaurant’s food isn’t expensive, which is handy when getting out for a meal takes extra time and effort. During peak season, traffic outside can get terrible, and looking around for lunch or dinner can be a hassle. The hotel is close enough to the main road for convenience, but far enough away that road activity doesn’t make it noisy, so it’s easier to rest. The room was spacious, breakfast was nice, and they gave us a welcome drink and free Siomay. Very nice hotel.
