From the front it may not look like much, but the scenic setting and what you get make it worth the price. The pond-palace idea blends in with nature. Our two-story executive bungalow was spacious enough for two families, with a rustic feel, one king-sized bed, and one queen-sized bed. It also had a hot-water bath, TV, mini fridge, and other amenities. Hotel guests can use the heated pool for free, and there's a jogging route around the resort.

The traditional feel and natural surroundings at Kampung Sumber Alam made for a relaxing break. Water features around the distinctive villas added to the peaceful atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was enjoyable, with local flavors that suited the setting. Some facilities could use a refresh or a bit of maintenance. Even so, it's a charming place with plenty of character for anyone looking to unwind in a nature-focused retreat.

The natural hot spring tub was a real treat, and the bungalow had a lovely mountain view with a roomy balcony over a peaceful pond. Still, the walk from the lobby is quite long, and noise from the nearby village sometimes interrupts the quiet. The room wasn't as clean as it should be, and there weren't enough power outlets. The public pools looked inviting but were often crowded with children and outside guests, which may not suit anyone wanting a quieter stay.
