Islamic Guest House At Taqwa

Top-notch.

We stayed overnight with family on the drive from East Java to Jakarta. The location is central, with plenty of food vendors and a children’s play area. Our room, number 6 at the end, had four beds and enough space and facilities for a transit stop, though there was little furniture: a wardrobe, small table, and chair, so bags had to stay on the floor. There were a Quran and prayer mat in the wardrobe. We got only three towels, and the toiletries were soap and shampoo, so bring a toothbrush. The bathroom was adequate and had hot water. A couple of loose or missing screws, on the bathroom towel hanger and curtain rod support, could use repair. There was no trash can in the room, only outside. An event in the mosque courtyard made parking difficult for us as visitors from out of town. The attendants were initially confused, and eventually directed us to the hospital parking lot. We tried to call the guest house to ask about parking, but no phone number was available. Since the guest house is next to a mosque, it may be worth asking about events before booking, as they can affect parking and sleeping comfort.

I haven’t stayed here, but from what I’ve seen, it’s in an extraordinary spot for getting around Cirebon. Offices, businesses, teaching hospitals, restaurants and cafes, the government center, and both traditional and modern markets are all within walking distance.

A peaceful, comfortable place to rest and worship. You can hear children who memorize the Qur'an reciting its holy verses.
