Bats hang around and leave droppings on the floor, and the surrounding area is unclean. The house gives the impression of having been empty for a long time. Even the bucket and ladle were dirty. Unfortunately, it isn't Sharia-compliant.

I booked through Agoda for 70k, and the picture showed a neat, clean room. I came from out of town in the middle of the night, when it was busy, so I felt forced to take the accommodation. The owner said paying on the spot would cost 100. They first offered me a blue room at the far end, but the door was hard to open and I was scared I might get locked in. The room I ended up with was the only one left, at the front where people were coming and going, so it wasn't quiet. The bathroom was outside. I cried all night and couldn't sleep. Cockroaches were flying around, and there was dust everywhere. I swear, being Sharia-compliant shouldn't only mean watching out for improper couples. Cleanliness should follow Sharia too, okay 🥲.

For my family's safety and health, we left this supposedly Sharia-compliant OYO and moved to a more decent hotel. I had booked two rooms on the OYO app on a whim while trying budget travel, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. The place was dirty and neglected, the rooms damp and musty, and the bathroom was grimy, mossy, and slimy. Rats ran around the stairs. Staff smelled as if they hadn't showered in days. It's labeled OYO Sharia, but I don't see what's Sharia-compliant about it. They ask for a marriage certificate or ID showing the same address, but nobody checked our IDs before handing over the keys. So it's dirty and disgusting, with no identity checks. How is that Sharia-compliant? If you want to run the business seriously, the pandemic is over, so clean up and maintain the place. Don't leave it unattended.
