Bring your own toiletries, since they only supply towels and all-purpose soap. The room is nice and roomy, and Taman Permata, with plenty of good places to eat, is within walking distance. A good place to stay when visiting Lippo Karawaci.

Wanadu Residence is fairly new, and getting food is easy with vendors and convenience stores a short walk away. The staff were really nice and helpful, including when we asked how to get to Jakarta by public transport. They gave us reliable advice on which bus to take. Ride-hail drivers seem to know the place well. Our room was clean, though a little smaller than I wanted, and the small fridge and safe were a nice surprise. We stayed two nights and got clean towels and two complimentary water bottles each day. I gave four stars because the elevator is tiny, despite the sign saying it fits five people, and I’m afraid of confined spaces.

There’s an elevator. The meal was good, though the serving was really small. Also, the bed lamp makes a buzzing sound unless you switch it on.

Wanadu Residence Hostel uses the lower part of the building, while Grand Tebu Hotel is upstairs. The budget rooms have a few setups: one bed with AC and a TV, either with or without an internal bathroom, or four beds with AC, TV, and an internal bathroom. It’s near the Pramuka statue, food kiosks and restaurants, as well as the factory outlet arcade on R.E Martadinata, also called RIAU Street.
