M Pavilion Karawaci

The pool was nice, but both rooms we saw were a letdown. On the third floor, the AC was cold, though the desk and cabinets were very dusty and the wastafel was clogged. We asked to switch rooms and were moved to the first floor, which was worse: it was damp and the toilet wasn’t clean, with a cockroach in it. Sorry, I didn’t take a picture. It was our first visit, and the 4-5 star reviews had made me expect a good hotel. Sorry 🙏🏻🙏🏻

The rooms were clean enough, and having nearly complete kitchen facilities was a plus. M Pavilion is still a decent recommendation for a quick rest, and it’s a quiet hotel for a night or two. Getting there can be a hassle, though: you have to show your ID at the housing gate, where there can be a long queue of cars and motorcycles. It’s handy if you have your own vehicle, with restaurants and different shops nearby. Hotel service was okayish. In the room, the towel hanger was broken and they couldn’t fix it because they were short on staff, so we had to improvise. The TV channels were very limited, and the AC remote was broken too.

I’ve only been here twice, and usually everything is “keysip” ✌️ The room doesn’t have a mini fridge, but otherwise it’s great ✌️ Oh, check-in has to be at 2, bestie. I got there at 1 yesterday, so I had to wait another hour. If you’re into swimming, you can do that until 10pm, qaaqa.

The bed and pillow were both so hard that I couldn’t sleep, and there was just one power outlet. The floor and walls were filthy and peeling. The bathroom had no ventilation or air circulation, and there were insects around. It was noisy too, with people talking, walking, and clanking things. There was even a kitchen right outside my window. At the housing complex gate, security took both my ID and my husband’s. They kept the cards instead of just checking them, so when the receptionist asked for my ID at check-in, we didn’t have it. There was no bottled water or basic stuff like a toothbrush. The place felt overpriced, especially since a better, larger, cleaner, and quieter actual hotel is less than 2 KM away and costs less.
