Dewi Dewi Villas

It’s been 6 yrs since my last visit. Even with COVID going through the country, dewi dewi villas had kept up with the maintenance, and my stay was still really enjoyable.

Right in the heart of sanur, these are lovely villas. The rooms were a little run down, though that should be easy to fix. The kitchenette had plenty of supplies, and the pool looked clean. They kindly let us check in at 9am since nobody had been staying in our room.

There’s no safety locker in the room, one bed had termites, and the rental bicycles were quite substandard, which is why I’m not giving five stars. Still, the value for money is fabulous, and the area is relatively quiet. The staff are courteous and helpful. Access is restricted from one street, so taxis need to be told about it. As of December 2018, stray cats and kittens could be heard making very sharp wailing sounds around 2AM. We told the staff, and it stopped. The refrigerator freezer wasn’t working properly, but staff promptly replaced the whole refrigerator. Mosquitoes were almost nonexistent, with only a few exceptions. The washrooms have hygienic spray guns, and there’s an LCD screen with Cable TV, remote controls, and channels from around the world. Free WiFi had good bandwidth. The kitchen stoves have ventilation, as does the bathroom. Showers have running hot and cold water, and housekeeping comes daily. The plunge pools were clean and pleasant, and there’s an exquisite pagoda-like seating setup. Rooms can have two single beds. They provide an electric kettle and kitchen utensils, and the apartment has remote-controlled Aircon.

Good value for the price, with nice service. Towels were changed every 2-3 days, and there’s an electric kettle in the room. A good, cheap warung is nearby. Breakfast is very small and basic.
