Ellora Villas

Villa M is lovely, with plenty of plants and flowers, a nice pool for children, and a clean, quiet setting away from traffic while still close to lots of places. There are minimarkets to the right and ICON mall just a few meters away. For restaurants, take the small road on the left as you leave. The only small downside was the slightly slow internet, but switching to 5G worked fine.

The location is probably the villa's only real plus. The pool didn't look like it was cleaned regularly. Our room was cleaned once while we were out for the day, but the dead mosquitoes from the night before were still in the bathroom, just as they had been when we checked in. It clearly hadn't been washed down in a while, and the place felt unclean overall.

We only found Ellora after travel delays left us looking for a place for a few days at the last minute. After staying there, we checked out other highly rated places nearby, hoping for the same experience, but none came close, so we moved to another part of the island. Ellora villas are private and peaceful, close to everything, and not moldy like most of the others nearby. The staff were top notch, and for a couple in Sanur, it's the best value we've found. We don't usually write reviews, but highly recommend Ellora.

We booked two nights but only stayed the first, which we'd already paid for. The one-bedroom villa was big, spacious, and probably once grand and luxurious, but now it seemed dull, run down, and neglected. Even the warm coconut welcome drink didn't feel welcoming. It wasn't worth the money we were willing to pay, and you can definitely find much nicer villas for the same price.
