Griya Pasir Ukir Homestay

I slept really well in this peaceful place. The property is beautiful, the pool is fabulous, and it’s very close to the port. The AC worked well and the mosquito net was great. The shower pressure was low, and the water wasn’t very warm. Little bits of gecko poop sometimes fell from the wooden ceiling, which comes with being somewhere tropical, but it didn’t bother me. I didn’t actually see any geckos, and the net helped while sleeping.

The main drawback was the bathroom: the flush was weak, and with only a curtain instead of glass around the shower, the toilet gets wet. The location works well for the Sanur harbor, with small grocery shops and restaurants about a 3-minute walk away. Bigger restaurants with live music take around 20 minutes to reach on foot. Breakfast was good, with fruit, eggs, toast, butter, jam, coffee or tea, and a waffle. We couldn’t wait for the waffle because we had to catch the boat.

We only had a short stay, arriving late from the airport and leaving early for the first boat, so the included breakfast made things easy. The room was lovely and the ferry location was perfect. Wish we’d had more time here!

For a ferry stopover, the location is hard to beat, only 200 meters away. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the people are so kind, even with guests who complain a lot. It’s a homestay, so there’s no room service, bar, or restaurant, but the price is great for what you get. The only issue in my room was getting hot water in the shower. A basic breakfast is included, with eggs, juice, toast, fruit, and tea or coffee. If you eat a lot, you can pay 20-25k extra for more.
