Sayang Sanur Villa VI

Location: 10/10 Value for money: 7/10 Room: 7/10 Bathroom: 6/10 Service: 6/10 Pool: 2/10 The rooms are spacious, and I loved the layout and the front and backyard gardens. The decor and furniture badly need renovation, though. We booked because the hotel had a pool, but it was unusable for 2 days due to the drainage issue. We were there for 3 days, so that booking feature was no use to us. It had rained for half a day, and we arrived to ankle-deep water in the reception area. It took them one day to drain it, and guests had to walk through the water whenever they went out. They didn’t offer any compensation. They also give you a list of things in your room with even the number of spoons and doormat marked. Are you serious???

It’s a quiet spot close to both the beach and the main road, which made the location work really well for us. The trouble was the pool: its chlorine level was extremely high when we got our villa. We jumped in straight away and our eyes burned for two days. When we asked why nobody had warned us beforehand, management couldn’t explain it.

Ayu and the rest of the team made us feel at home. They were welcoming, kind, and always ready to help, which really made the stay special. Our villa was spacious, clean, and nicely designed, with its own pool that made it easy to relax. The grounds were peaceful and lush, yet the beach, shops, and restaurants were nearby. We had an incredible time at Sayang Sanur Resort and will definitely come back.

The restaurant food was great, and the servers were attentive and quick to handle any issues. The staff overall were attentive, and we had a good time. But some problems mentioned in earlier reviews still seem to be there. The bathtub and bathroom weren’t clean, and the drain still had hair from previous guests. Room service cleared it right away when we called. There was also a persistent sewer smell, especially in the upper room and main room. Maintenance tried drain cleaner, but that made it worse, and the smell came into our room all morning. I had to hold my breath every time I went to the toilet. My bed linen also had blood spots. The internet was terrible, so we used mobile data most of the time.
