Seruni Guest House

For the price, the service was great, especially the attitude of the staff, and the room was clean with a nice interior. But the Wi-Fi was terrible, with only 100 mbps for the whole property. Also, smoke from waste burning nearby kept getting into our room almost every day, especially in the morning. We needed fresh air.

We spent five days in a second-floor room at Seruni guesthouse, and the team kept it clean and well maintained. There’s daily room cleaning if you want it, though you can ask them not to come. Towels aren’t replaced every day, and there are no toiletries, so bring your own soap and shampoo. They leave a 1.5L bottle of mineral water each day, plus an electric kettle, two cup noodles, and tea and coffee. Toilet rolls aren’t provided. The main gate shuts at 2300, but you can knock or ring the bell if you arrive later. Seruni guesthouse is in the Imam Bonjol area, fairly close to Seminyak and the Bali - mandara toll. Parking and the building’s cleanliness were better than we expected. The loft-style rooms are at the front and are usually fully occupied; single rooms are at the back. I wish there’d been a full-length mirror in the room, or even a half-body mirror in the toilet, which has no mirror at all. Value for money: 10/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Safety: 10/10 Location: 8/10

I meant to stay a long time, and ended up spending a month here in the Loft. It has a high-end feel and was superb. Definitely coming back. Value for money: 10/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Safety: 10/10 Location: 8/10

There were several bugs in the room, including two cockroaches, one on the bed and one on the floor. It didn’t seem like the room had been cleaned in a while.
