The accommodation was filthy. I booked through Booking.com, but the photos on the site didn’t match what was behind the room door. The room was mouldy, the sheets and bed were dirty, and the bathroom seemed like a major biological hazard. I’m still waiting for Booking.com to refund me. I can’t believe this place is listed anywhere. It’s nowhere near habitable and should be removed from booking sites. I’m disappointed Booking.com doesn’t do more to check what it promotes, and getting a refund has been even harder. There’s nothing to recommend SN Guest House. The place should be reported, as should Booking.com for false advertising and financial gain through deception.

I’ve travelled extensively, including in very basic conditions, and I’m not usually fussy. Still, this room had three major problems. It was on the ground floor with no window, and had a strong musty smell. The walls had clearly been cleaned, but the air still felt heavy and unpleasant, especially with the bed right beside the bathroom. The cleanliness was clearly poor. The bed hadn’t been made, and there were hairs and stains that gave an immediate sense of neglect. Most of all, the whole room felt unsettling. Even after more than two years of travelling around the world, I couldn’t stay. A clean bed might have been enough, but this one wasn’t clean. At the rates shown on Booking.com at certain times of year, the value for money is incomprehensible.
