Tropical Bali Hotel

The beach and shops take a bit of walking to reach, though a taxi or Grab makes it easy. Thank you, Audrey, and especially the staff! It’s a small hotel, with bungalow-style rooms that give you plenty of privacy. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning. It was simple but tasty, just what breakfast should be, and if we forgot to order, they’d ask what we wanted. We started upstairs, but the stairs were steep and my mother was with us, so they moved us downstairs the next day when we asked. The staff are warm, friendly, hospitable, and helpful. They made my mother’s birthday special by arranging a cake and singing for her with a GUITAR. The owner has thought of little things to make the stay comfortable and homey, including a mosquito net, insect spray, and air freshener. It had a tropical, zen feeling.

A lovely, welcoming place to stay, with really nice staff. Breakfast outside in the morning was wonderful, and the prices were very good.

My favorite hotel from my Bali trip. It was clean, private, and secluded, and they took my room request into account when assigning it. It’s also close to Sanur Port.

We only booked this for our first night because we had an early boat from Sanur port to Nusa Penida, and weren’t expecting much since the port was nearby. It turned out to be such a nice surprise. The staff welcomed us warmly, the room was clean and very comfortable, and the pool was a real treat in the heat. We could eat on our room terrace, and breakfast was fabulous, especially the fruit platter. We wish we could have stayed longer. We didn’t know when booking that the manager was French, like us.
