KoolKost near Margo City Mall

Bad for pretty much every reason. There are too many rules, and the service is rude and indifferent. Even after I paid online, they asked for another 18,000, saying it was for the boarding house, but it turned out to be cigarette money. The tap water was yellow, and the AC didn't work properly.

It's basic accommodation, and the main plus is being close to public facilities. But 200k is a lot for a place like this. The price shown in the app didn't match what Koolkost asked for. They said they only work with RedDoorz, although several booking agents were posted by reception. They claimed it matched the RedDoorz app, then suddenly the price was pushed up to 200k, around 54 thousand extra. The transfer went to a person's name through the Dana app, not Koolkost. There are lots of rules: the gate closes at midnight, which isn't usual for accommodation, and checkout is by noon or there's a fine. The room didn't match the app photos, and bookings for more than one person still got only one set of toiletries. The drive in is extremely tight, maybe not wide enough for a car. Better to come by motorbike or on foot. It's down one alley and then another. Many walls are damp and peeling, the place looks poorly maintained, the sheets weren't clean, and there was dust between the mattresses. Wi-Fi was so-so. No breakfast or mineral water. It looked more like a boarding house than an inn when we arrived, and there was a cat cage near the room. It may suit someone wanting to stay near Margo City, though an apartment or star-rated hotel might be an option. I hope Koolkost reviews the app prices and improves cleanliness around the property. Finding the place was a little difficult because it's in a narrow alley followed by another alley. The receptionist seemed amateurish and the service was unfriendly. Even though I'd paid the full amount online, they immediately asked me for more money. A very bad experience.

Nothing about this place was a plus for me 😅. The photos don't match the accommodation, and they asked for extra payment even though the app price was already shown. There were two of us, but we got just one toiletry kit, haha. The receptionist seemed really amateurish, and the owner was unfriendly. If the place is lacking, at least the service should be okay. Here, it was all a minus.
