We arrived at the address on our reservation, but it wasn't the right place. A man from across the way called and directed us elsewhere. At reception, they said they had stopped working with booking on 01/31/23, even though we had reserved in February, and told us to pay them in cash despite the booking having already charged us a few days earlier. I understand tourism may be declining in the city and people are trying to make a living, but this felt like a scam.

Tamatabi 20190111 I travel by bicycle and like cheap hotels, as long as the room is clean. This one wasn't bad, and the room was spacious. I paid 190Rp for a regular room with breakfast; there was also a cheaper room for 145Rp. Easy to find. Good trip.

The location was nice, with lots of street food nearby. The room was okay clean, but it didn't look like the Booking pictures. No WiFi and no hot water.

I got to Garut at 7 p.m., and the local motorbike rental driver showed me this place. The room was clean, cheap, and safe. There's also a medical clinic under the accommodation, so I didn't have to worry if I got sick. The downside is the bathroom is outside the room, so I had to go out to pee or take a bath. In the morning there were lots of food sellers in front of wisma PKPN Garut. My favorite was fresh serabi cooked on a wood stove. Nice location.

Breakfast came to the room and was included. It was steamed rice, egg, and beef floss, with comfy seats to eat in. The bed was comfortable, and the room was upstairs on the second floor. It had air conditioning, WiFi, and a thermos of hot water. Staff didn't speak English. The bathroom had a funky smell.
