Sabua Guest House

I’m disappointed with our room and how this has been handled. It’s in the basement, and when it rains, water runs into the kitchen and bathroom. This has happened before, and I raised it a couple of weeks ago after another heavy downpour, with photos. The reply came fairly quickly, saying their maintenance person, 'Guy', wasn’t available to fix it. Nobody has come since. The toilet isn’t properly fitted, the door lock is difficult to use, and rainwater visibly comes in at the back of the kitchen where there is electrical wiring. Mr Harlin is actually very kind, but the room lacks service. There’s also been a dispute about how long we could stay. Last month I said we planned to stay until 23th of July, and the boss’s wife said we’d need to pay daily rates, about 1,6Mill IDR. I agreed to stay until 07th August and move out then. Today the owner’s wife spoke to me in a horrifying tone because I hung my waterprotection outside on the window hinge, please see attached foto. After a strange conversation with the couple, the owner suggested we move out. I asked them to reimburse what we’d paid for the seven days under our verbal agreement. He refused and confirmed our stay in Sabua until 7th August. The odd part is that Mr Harlin came to me 3-4 days ago and asked what time we’d check out on 07.08. I said in the morning, and he said, "good I need to clean the place". I get the impression they have a new tenant. The water problem has been going on for a long time, but nothing is being done.
