Anahata - Tropical Private Villas Gili Air

We came away with an unforgettable impression of Anahata Hotel in Gili Air. The staff were wonderfully attentive and always ready to help. Each morning brought a generous, delicious breakfast, a real treat. The wooden villa has an authentic beauty and a remarkable sense of calm, making it a peaceful spot to rest and enjoy the nature around it. We highly recommend staying here.

The pool is great to look at, though it’s small for swimming and doesn’t overlook anything. The road to the villa was muddy and messy. It’s up in the north, a bit away from the main center, so cycling is pretty much necessary. The villa is distinctive, with a cool outdoor shower, dressing gown, mosquito spray, and bikes for rent. Rooms felt small and didn’t have proper cupboards or much storage. Service was very good overall, just a bit less attentive and proactive than at other places we stayed in Bali.

Baba made our three nights on Gili Air especially memorable, arranging activities and sharing great food recommendations. Snorkelling with turtles was the highlight of our three weeks away. The villa was gorgeous, and the private pool was just right. Breakfast came to us each morning and was the best I’ve had on this trip. My partner and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the staff were amazing and so friendly. I’d absolutely recommend it if you have the option.

We spent ages choosing somewhere on Gili Air, and this place lived up to it. The staff were fantastic, the room was lovely, and the photos don’t really show how good it is. Breakfast had lots of tasty options, and the free bikes made it easy to explore. The island has plenty going on, including good bars open late and live music, it’s not as quiet as some websites suggest. You’ll hear the call to prayer around 4:30 am wherever you stay. The hotel provides earplugs if you want to sleep through it. Thanks to the team for making our stay so good.
