We loved the location on the island's northwest side, close to the beach, restaurants, and warungs, but away from the harbour. It's a family-run hotel, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotless, the pool area was just right, and breakfast was perfect. Matiki can also arrange bikes and laundry, so you can get on with relaxing and enjoying this special island.

The staff alone made this place easy to recommend, and breakfast was delicious too. We loved staying here. Our room was cosy and very tidy, and everywhere on the island was an easy bike ride away.

I had a fabulous stay at Gili Matiki. It felt peaceful and well located, and I loved lounging by the pool. The spacious, beautiful bungalows have lots of thoughtful touches, including bags and pareos, plus guides to the local plants and animals. Breakfast was excellent, and the team were so warm and welcoming. Many thanks to everyone at Gili Matiki!

The family who run Matiki made us feel looked after from the start, and the snorkeling trip they arranged was fun, well organized, and a great way to see the marine life around Gili Islands. The accommodation itself was excellent, with one drawback: the bungalows have almost no sound insulation. I was woken around 4 a.m. every morning by prayers from a nearby mosque, and one night loud music from a beach club kept me awake until morning. It was a 15-minute walk away, but sounded like it was right outside. This isn't the accommodation's fault. Gili Air is a small island, and sound travels across it, whether it's the early calls to prayer or music from beach clubs. Because of that, I'll pick a different island next time.

The hotel had a lovely charm, and we felt at home right away. The staff were so warm and friendly, and they helped our friend put together a beautiful surprise for us when we arrived. They also rent bikes and shared great tips about the area, which made exploring even nicer. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it!
