Taman Senang

The place felt so cosy, and there were lovely cats around. It's good for families, with a huge pool and outdoor bathrooms where we didn't see any bugs or insects. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and smelled very nice, with new furniture. They were very clean too. Winr and Gede were so lovely and helped us throughout our stay. The receptionist was lovely as well. The pier, central markets and a small grocery store just a few steps away are all within walking distance. We had a nice stay and will come back to be around these lovely people.

Winr and Gede made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were incredibly kind and always smiling, and their smiles meant a lot. It was clear the staff care about guests and the details. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, tasty and carefully prepared, with a good variety included in the stay. Everything, from the rooms to the common areas, was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The pool was beautiful, crystal clear and perfect for relaxing after exploring the island. We had an amazing stay at Taman Senang and would definitely return. Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere peaceful, clean and friendly on Gili Air.

The rooms are well built enough that you can't hear the nearby mosque inside, which may reassure people who worry about that. It's also easy to walk or bike to either side of the island. Our private pool villa was perfect, with a huge pool at just the right temperature. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable, and the breakfast area outdoors was peaceful. The garden and rooms were immaculate, and the staff were incredible, happy, friendly and genuinely caring. Breakfast has a small menu, but you can order as much or as little as you want, and everything we tried was delicious. The team go above and beyond, and the owners should be proud. One of our best and most memorable stays in Indonesia. This place absolutely deserves five stars, and I highly recommend it for a Gili Air trip.

We were upgraded on arrival, and the stay exceeded what we expected. The staff were wonderfully attentive, kind and welcoming. Our room, ensuite, private pool and garden were all thoroughly cleaned and maintained each day. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our breakfast nook every morning, and it was free and unlimited. We can't recommend Taman Senang enough. We're already planning to return.
