For yacht owners looking for somewhere to leave a boat, this is the best marina in Indonesia. It’s a cyclone hole, so the boat should be safe. Ours stayed for around six months through the wet season, including about two months with no crew aboard, and the monthly rate was very reasonable. Once you add the berth, electricity, and drinking water to fill the tanks, the total still came out cheaper than most marinas, especially given how hands-on the service is. They can help with airport transfers, groceries in Mataram, motorbike rental, and laundry, either hand washed or machine washed. And the restaurant is great. For me, it had the best Nasi Goreng in Indonesia. The owner is very capable. He arranged a shaft change on the beach beside the marina to match the tide, which saved a lot of money since no crane or lift was needed. He also personally helped us replace the tender lift straps, among plenty of other things. The downside is that the marina’s popularity means you may need to book early to secure a berth. It was full the whole six months our boat was there, so book well ahead.

When we came back after leaving our boat in the staff’s care for several months, it was cleaner and running better than ever. James and the whole crew did an incredible job. Everyone at Marina del Rey was welcoming, and the facilities were easily the nicest marina we used in Indonesia. James is a great manager, professional and helpful throughout. We’re very grateful to him and the crew. It was an incredible experience, 10/10 recommend.

We left our boat here for three months and had a wonderful stay, with lots of good times. James and the whole marina crew were friendly and helpful. It’s a great, safe spot to leave your boat in Lombok. We’ll be back.

The bar and restaurant have beautiful views, and the location itself is safe and great. What really makes the difference, though, is the staff. They’re friendly and willing to help with anything you need.

We came for three nights while diving next door. The afternoon deck was a lovely place to unwind, and the location is peaceful, with a great view and just a 10 minute boat ride from the mainland. We slept well at night. Breakfast and dinner were both good. We only tried local dishes, which were delicious and came in generous portions. Free water refills at the bars are a nice way to cut down on plastic. The room could use more cleaning, especially in the bathroom and corners, and it felt a little dated. The pool wasn’t very clean either, and the sunbeds could use some care. The bed was comfortable and the blinds were great, but we missed having a mosquito net since the balcony door wouldn’t close all the way.
