The pool is a block away from the hotel, and the room needed maintenance. There was a really bad smell from the rotten bathroom pipe, even the tap water smelled. The restaurant food was delicious, though, and the staff were good hosts.

I stayed by myself for four nights, September 13 to 17, 2025, and the staff made it hard to leave. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and their daily greetings and little chats became a highlight of my trip. I felt sad saying goodbye. My ocean view room had a terrace over the sea. At night I could order room service and eat there while watching the ocean, without needing to go out. The free private sunbeds right by the sea were another lovely perk, and I could even have the delicious breakfast, with its wide range of choices, while lounging there. The spot felt safe for a solo traveler since it's along the main road. It's around a 10-minute walk from the harbor, so I didn't need a horse cart to get around. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Gili.

Blue Damare gave me memories I'll keep. I stayed two extra days because of the location and service, and ended up spending eight days there. With my sensitive personality, all the staff took extra care of me. They were welcoming, looked after the place, and were lovely. I didn't see a single bug during those eight days. I remember Annie, Dennis, Ali, Tari, Rani, and Zila by name. Thanks as well to everyone whose name I didn't catch. Annie also gave me a lovely bracelet. I do think the accommodation could be improved a little to make it more popular. Still, I'd recommend Blue Damare to travelers everywhere, Koreans included. I hope we meet again someday. We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. It was quiet and really nice, and they cleaned our room every day, even folding our clothes. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Rani at reception was especially sweet, always smiling, and gave us service worthy of a 10 and praise. Thank you!!

Breakfast was the one enjoyable part for me. The hotel otherwise felt unclean and loud music started early in the morning, so resting was impossible. The pool area and the entrances to the rooms were neglected and in poor condition. I wouldn't recommend it for a relaxing stay.
