After just one night, we had to cancel and find somewhere else. The place was completely run down, with basic things missing or broken, including hot water and the room lock, and the kitchen was very dirty. When we confronted the owner, he admitted the problems and said he would refund at least 50% of what we’d paid. Once we left, he disappeared and refused to pay anything back. I can only call this accommodation a tourist trap. One of the worst stays ever.

We booked the entire private villa through Airbnb with friends, but it didn’t match the photos or description. Cleaning was minimal, people came in and out day and night, and many things weren’t working properly, including the hot water, lights, keys, and kitchen. After the first night, we told the owner we wanted to move and were willing to pay for that night so we could reach an agreement. The owner made no effort to solve the problem or find a compromise, saying they couldn’t do anything because we’d booked through a third platform. We contacted the platform to explain and seek a solution. We later found out the owner had lied to the platform’s support team, claiming we stayed the full booking and hadn’t moved elsewhere. A total scam. Please don’t get scammed by people like this.

It felt like a nice stay on the more jungle side of Indonesia. We did have some trouble with the electricity and hot water at first, but the host was very kind and helped quickly. There are cockroaches in the villa, so be ready to clean some up now and then.

The pool was clean and clear, and we had a superb stay in this comfortable place. Thanks to the staff, Augus and friend, for doing such an excellent job. We warmly recommend staying here!
