Ombak Sunset Villas

The hotel is on Gili Trawangan’s west coast, with a private beach right there and breathtaking sunset views. Ombak Sunset Hotel has plenty of facilities, including a pool, restaurant, bar, and spa. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We were close to turtle point, and the hotel had a lovely big private beach. The room felt modern and spacious, with all the amenities, and I liked the outdoor bathroom. There was a large pool, and the staff were really helpful and lovely. Breakfast had a decent variety, though it wasn’t anything special, with industrial food and opened jams. Dinner was simple but really good, especially the barbecue on the beach. We rented bikes to tour the island, and the service was great.

The location and pool are strong points for a family trip, and our room at Hotel Ombak in Gili Trawangan was clean and good. Still, it was disappointing that staff wouldn’t pack breakfast for our early departure with the kids. Service could use a little improvement.

The location is the only good thing here. Reception staff were extremely rude, and when the WiFi stopped working, our complaints went nowhere for two days. They finally moved us to another room after 40 hours. The rooms also don’t have enough light. We booked an Island Bungalow, their mid-category room, and when we asked for bathrobes, staff rudely refused. I’d never stay here again or recommend this hotel.
