The shower has seriously strong pressure, and the house itself is lovely, set in a beautiful spot. There are stories behind all the elaborate decorations, and the man running it is fascinating. The internet can be patchy, so I liked having a chance to switch off for a bit. And, dear Indonesians, sorry, but the "bule" really does add a final touch to the taste and spirit of the place.

Set on a three-acre property, Olivier and his family have made a lovely, peaceful home. The place was clean and the food was good, and I enjoyed hearing Olivier's travel stories. My favorite part was the outdoor shower fed by a water shower. Ask him about the local products he sells.

We had a good stay in the bungalow, with its own bathroom, and liked the pleasant surroundings. The nearby beach was deserted and great for a swim, about six minutes away by scooter. The meals were good too, and so were the Arak cocktails ;) I'd happily stay here again.

If you love wild nature and off-road biking, this place feels like paradise, and I’ll definitely come back. It’s a long way from the tourist area, which gives you an authentic experience with local people in a traditional village. There are rooms, or you can pitch your tent. See you again soon.

It's quiet and peaceful out in nature, with lots of spots to relax in the garden. The organic food was great, and Olivier has plenty of inspiring stories and is a really interesting person. You're in the middle of nowhere, though, so be ready for quiet and lots of mosquitoes.
