A lovely spot to step away from the rush of city life and recharge. The open spaces, clean air, and warm kampung feel make it a real West Java experience. The view is fabulous, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the local food and thoughtful amenities are good. Four stars for this small family-run villa.

We had so much to do around the villa, from wandering through the rice fields and fishing to playing scrabble. The setting among the mountains and paddies is beautiful, with cool, fresh air and even a place to sit among the fields beside running water. It’s also near attractions like the blue lake and several waterfalls. The team took great care of us. We got three meals a day and tasty snacks, including a lovely lunch as soon as we arrived. The two villa guards were friendly and ready to help whenever we needed anything. We felt looked after, even in the small details, almost like guests at a five-star hotel. The villa itself is spacious and clean, with complete facilities. There’s a cozy gazebo, comfortable lounge chairs, a prayer room, a big clean bathroom, and a bedroom balcony with an amazing view, especially in the evening and when you wake up. My family and I really loved our stay, and we’d come back if we get the chance. One of the best villas we’ve stayed in.

Assalamualaikum, After a long time living away from home in the United States, I was missing Indonesian culture, and staying here with my friends gave me that feeling again. The food was a big part of it: meals three times a day, with snacks in between. The gado-gado and baso kuah were delicious. We were also able to enjoy the outdoors in different ways, from hiking and trail running to simply walking around and stretching. The mountain view from the patio was wonderful in the morning, with birds singing nearby while we had coffee or tea. There’s a coffee and tea bar in the room, too, so we didn’t need to go out for it. The two-room accommodation was tidy and well thought out. The rooms were spacious, each futon could be turned into a full-size bed, and the bathroom was large and functional, with a bidet in the toilet. The view was breathtaking, the food was fresh, and the staff were genuinely kind and courteous. The service was flawless. Everything we needed for a restful stay was here. Kudos to the ALNur owner and staff for such an amazing Indonesian experience.

The rooms are clean, and they serve local meals and snacks. The rice field views make this a lovely choice for some time to yourself, meditation, or a break with family or friends. Getting there takes a bit of an adventure.

We took the slow 30-minute walk to the Curug, enjoying the scenery along the way. The path was a little uphill but easy enough in regular sneakers. We met friendly locals who offered us guava from their garden, and two cats as well. The waterfall was clean, with clear, cold water. I wished I’d brought a swimsuit so I could swim, or sit beneath it and feel the water massage my back. When we got back, there was a generous chicken porridge breakfast waiting by the rice field. The Al Nur staff had suggested either the waterfall or the pine forest for the morning, and we chose the waterfall. The night before, my five friends and I spent hours on the downstairs patio, chatting from the afternoon until just before midnight. We enjoyed the breeze and the changing sky, the smell of grass from the paddy field, and tilapia moving in the pond in front of us. Hot tea and coffee, freshly made fried banana and tofu made it even better. When the rain began around midnight, we went to bed. Upstairs, the bedrooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for two people each, with a Moroccan touch. There was also a sofa that could become a sofa bed, and a choice of tea and coffee in the rooms. Thank you to Al Nur and the staff for making our weekend away so enjoyable. We’ll definitely come back.
