Nice place, with a coffee shop very close by. Can you rent a room here by the month?

Being in Kemang is the best thing about the place. There are lots of restaurants nearby and a famous coffee shop downstairs. The lobby was hot and dark, and customer service was just okay, with not much they could help me with. For instance, unlike other two- or three-star hotels I've stayed in, they didn't have a hairdryer to provide when I asked. I didn't use the towel because it was yellowish, there were no toilet amenities, and the room floor was dirty.

The location is handy, with plenty of food options and cafes around, but the room and service made this a bad stay. The towels looked dirty and discolored, the bedsheets and room had an unpleasant smell, and there was no soap until I asked for a refill. The TV remote was broken, so with no phone in the room I had to go downstairs to request another. Room service took a while; they found the TV speakers were damaged and couldn't repair them. Even after I reported several issues, nobody offered to move me, just apologized. Highway noise came straight into the room, which wasn't soundproof, and made it hard to sleep. There were lots of mosquitoes, and the bed was itchy. I ended up with five bites that looked like bed bug bites, though I couldn't tell what caused them. I don't eat in bed, and covering it with a clean towel helped a little. I've stayed in several places at this price, and even though this is a boarding house that rents rooms by the day, I expected somewhat better facilities.

I was there toward the end of 2021. For a budget stay, the rooms had nice interiors and the bathrooms were decent. The towels were fresh-smelling, which was a welcome change from the musty ones I've found at other budget hotels. At the start, they require a deposit, or you can leave your ID card, either SIM or KTP.
