This feels like a bare-bones apartment, definitely not a hotel room. The room itself is reasonably clean, with no obvious mould or dirt, though I did see a few cockroaches. They’re difficult to get rid of at home too, so I can understand that. The bed is large, double or queen-sized, and there’s a TV on the wall. Outlets are by the table and under the TV, not very close to the bed. There’s a small table for two beside the bed and a wardrobe on the other side. The balcony is occupied by the AC unit. There’s no Wi-Fi, which doesn’t bother me much, but no shower towels, hand towels, tissues, soap, or hand wash either. That’s a problem for travelers. I have a beach towel. The AC struggles to cool the room below about 27C. Its main unit is on the balcony, with a plastic film barrier less than 5cm from the exhaust fan for some reason, so the hot air can’t escape properly. When I turned on the shower, the gas-powered water heater ran out of gas after only two minutes. They might want to check it before a guest arrives. The room does have a fridge and gas hob, an aluminium wok and saucepan, reusable plastic plates, cups, a plastic colander or strainer for rice or noodles, some spoons and one fork. There’s also a 19l water dispenser, about three-quarters full, which should be enough for my three-night stay. You need to pay a 250k IDR deposit before getting the key. If you arrive after office hours, 18:00, you have to contact them and transfer the money to get the key. I’ll check the pool and the other amenities in the morning.
