Ahira guests house is handy if you’re visiting an embassy in Jakarta. LBS is about a minute away, and the alfamart is around two minutes away, with food and drinks nearby too. Thanks for the friendly staff and great service.

The room matched the pictures, and it was good value. Service was good and the location is pretty convenient. Sorry, but the bed in this particular room smelled bad.

I was very happy here when I stayed for a few days two years ago. The room was clean and everything was as it should be. But on my visit a week ago, the service was awful. The staff did their best to help, and that’s the only reason I’m giving two stars. The room wasn’t ready for a guest, and the bathroom was both dirty and smelled terrible. Ahira needs better management and a bathroom makeover. We really couldn’t stand the smell, and I’m not sure they can keep customers satisfied otherwise.

The only thing I liked was the price. The pictures seemed years old, and I suspect the property has passed to an unprofessional owner. Check-in and check-out were ridiculous, with a smoking kid at reception just taking my booking number and passport. The room had the facilities listed on the booking page, but none were at an acceptable level. There were blood stains on the sheet and pillow cover, and the broken curtain didn’t block the sun. The air conditioning barely cooled the room, and I shared it with cockroaches, mosquitoes, and spiders. The toilet was disgusting. There was no hot or even warm water, it looked like it hadn’t been washed in years, black mold covered the door, and the chrome tap had yellow stains. Good luck if you book here. I don’t understand the high rating.
