Airy Blok M Melawai Sepuluh 12 Jakarta

My booking was canceled just minutes before I arrived, even though I'd reserved a twin room a week earlier for two days and paid in full. I booked through airyrooms, and the order said it couldn't be canceled. The hotel told me the air conditioner was broken. I was already on my way, so I went to the reception desk to ask what had happened and what they would do about it. I got no proper explanation or help. The receptionist was unbelievably rude and unfriendly, and blamed airyrooms. But it was the hotel that had canceled my reservation. They treated me as if I were a homeless person asking for a free room, like I was at fault. A hotel that makes this kind of mistake should offer another room, perhaps even an upgrade. I also found their explanation hard to believe. Checkout was at 12.00 pm and check-in at 02.00 pm, so they had time to check the room before the next guest. I was due in at 08.00 pm, but they said the air conditioner had been broken since after lunch and only told me at the last minute, when I was nearly there and it was already night. As far as I know, fixing an air conditioning problem takes 1-2 hours. If they couldn't fix it, they should have had a corrective action plan. Before setting one up, though, they should train the frontline staff in basic service. I found another hotel's room on my own. The staff here didn't help me at all. I won't waste my time booking a room at this hotel again.
