Being able to hear the call to prayer and having a prayer mat in each room made it especially comfortable for us to pray. That Islamic atmosphere was the best part of the stay. Breakfast was tasty, and since the hotel is halal, the food felt safe to eat. For dinner, we walked over to Menteng Huis nearby. Toiletries were supplied, but there was no bath mat, and the TV channel selection was very limited, perhaps because of Sharia law. We got the lowest Airy Room rate compared with other apps or booking directly. When we checked in, our standard room was fully booked, so they upgraded us two levels to a deluxe room without charging extra. Alhamdulillah, most staff were friendly, although the check-in employee seemed a bit rude, maybe because they were busy. The one thing that could make this a 5-star hotel for me is replacing the room carpet and cleaning the cobwebs in the closet. It’s also an easy walk to Gondangdia Station.

The elevator only serves up to the fourth floor, so you need to use the stairs for floors above that. Also, the AC stays on auto mode and can’t be adjusted. The place turned out to be Sofyan Hotel, and it was comfortable, clean, and had friendly service. The location is strategic, and the complimentary items were cute. The bathroom amenities were all blue.

It’s close to Cut Meutia Mosque, and the usual Airy Syariah items were there: prayer times, the Quran with its translation, and prayer mats. The room is non-smoking and clean, with hotel-style facilities, since it’s part of Sofyan Hotel. It had a fairly wide TV, tissues, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, towels, shoe cleaner, sandals, a small fridge, and a place to keep valuables. Laundry and dry cleaning were reasonably priced.
