Amaris Hotel La Codefin - Kemang

The staff were really nice, and the hotel does what it's meant to for the price and location. It gets lively and loud at night, so the windows and doors might need some work. If you expect more, you'd be better off with a five star hotel away from the center. Breakfast isn't European style either, it's more like having lunch or dinner in the morning. The hotel was fine for me 😇

If you need somewhere quiet, this probably isn't the place. It's right by a busy street in Kemang, though there are street food stalls, restaurants, and other food nearby. The room is about 20 square meters, clean, with friendly staff and good service. The bidet spray was leaking and the shower needed fixing, but staff sorted both out right away. I also learned hot water only comes on from 4 pm each day, and it wasn't very hot.

The bright lighting in the room was what I liked most, and it's a practical, well kept budget stay in Kemang. The place was clean throughout, though not spotless, and all the facilities worked. Staff were helpful and friendly. Amaris also provided slippers and two bottles of mineral water, as usual for a budget option, and there were plenty of drinking glasses. You can refill the bottles from the water stations on each floor. The breakfast was average for this class, but enough to get through the day. The location is handy, with Lippo Mall in walking distance, round-the-clock minimarts across the street, and street food nearby. The hot shower was only tepid. One morning on New Year's Day, a staff member even helped an old lady make toast at breakfast. I'd never seen a staff member do that, even at a five star international chain hotel.

Somewhat cozy and quiet, with helpful staff and a good spot in Kemang. It's easy to order Online Food Service, and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. The room door needs repair: nearly all the doors, including mine, made a loud noise when they closed automatically. The shower handle needs repair too. For a business trip around Kemang, it's a decent, fairly cheap hotel.
