Artotel Gelora Senayan Jakarta

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I don’t think I’d get bored with the buffet spread. Our room was on the 16th floor, spacious and very comfortable, with a view of GBK and the city skyscrapers that I couldn’t believe. A perfect place to unwind during a Jakarta getaway. Thank you, Artotel Gelora Senayan, for chic, modern hospitality.

I stayed for an extended visit from August 2025 to January 2026. I can’t post a long review right now, but I’ll do that later with pictures. In short, the location is central, near Stadium GBK, SCBD, Senayan City, and Plaza Senayan, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hospitality is Indonesian, and it’s great value. My Deluxe King, the most entry level room, was very spacious. I stayed on levels 8, 11, and 14. The rooms are old but refurbished. You can pay a little more per night for fully refurbished rooms and hallways on level 5, but I was on a client’s budget. It’s a 60 year old hotel, so the wooden furnishings, carpets, and walls are old and degrading. There’s an unpleasant smell, which the hotelier addresses with air fresheners and filters. They’ve recently hosted athletes from all over the world for the World Artistic Gymnastics and Daihatsu Indonesia Masters.

Monica was amazing. She was super friendly and chatty, and brought such positive energy the whole time. She made everything feel easy and welcoming, and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I really appreciated the vibe she created and would definitely recommend!

The room was spacious and the location convenient, but the service let the stay down. The only way to contact the front desk was WhatsApp, and I got no reply when I asked for a simple item, a toothbrush. The hot water in my room also didn’t work during my stay, which made things less comfortable than expected. It’s a shame these basic issues detract from a property with such potential. I hope management looks into them so future guests get care and attention that match the facilities.
