The room looked as if someone had just used it, and it smelled strongly of cigarettes. That was especially upsetting after a long, exhausting journey, when I had already paid for the room and expected somewhere to stay. At check-in, the receptionist said my room wasn't available because of “technical issues.” They said it had no TV and a damaged ceiling. I had confirmed the reservation with the front desk the day before, but nobody let me know in advance. I insisted on seeing the room myself, and what I found made the situation worse. Reception, housekeeping, and security were all unhelpful and unprofessional, with no initiative to offer a proper solution. This was by far my worst experience. If the service continues like this, the hotel will only go downhill. Very disappointing.

The room flooring was so disgusting I couldn't walk without shoes. It smelled like a toilet, and there were stains all over the bed cover, bellow case, mattress, walls, and roof. One of the worst hotel experiences ever, the place was SUPER DIRTY.

We booked for two days, but checked out just two hours after checking in. There was mould and watermarks on the walls, filthy bathrooms and hallway, and a musty odor. Regardless of the cost, the conditions seemed bad for our health, and there was no refund. Customer service is based outside Indo and replied in a second, clearly without coordinating with local CS. If you rate Oyo Salemba 2☆ or higher, you should travel more!

The staff were really nice, but the place looked 360º different from the pictures. It was a horror of a place to stay. The room smelled, there was fungus on the wall and ceiling, and the toilet smelled like sewage.

The location is great, and for a low price the hotel is decent. The service was just so-so, though, and the receptionist looked tired. I booked two non-smoking rooms, but both smelled of tobacco, which made no sense. You can find a better place to sleep nearby for a similar budget.
