The location in the heart of Karet is the main reason to stay here. I booked a junior suite on Monday, 08 Dec 2025, though I can't remember the room number. It’s an older hotel, and unfortunately the bathroom sink smelled bad. They’d tried to contain it with a plastic cover, but the odor still reached the bedroom even with the exhaust fan on. My wife couldn’t stand it.

I think this place also serves as a condo for long-term residents. It worked well for my embassy visit, with a handy coffee spot on the first floor, free laundry, and kitchens and pantries where you can make simple meals. The front desk managers were great and could print and scan documents. Service was good and the rooms were cozy, though the breakfast selection felt limited. One issue: the laundry room on the 5th floor had a very strong fuel tank smell, even with the windows open.

The room itself was decent, though the property could use some maintenance. Some floor tiles were lifting and made the surface uneven; everything else was fine. I booked four nights with Ayaka because it was close to Jakarta Convention Center. With breakfast included, I felt it was good value and helped me save on costs.

That New Year’s Eve view was the best. The place was lovely, comfy and quiet, and there’s free laundry and basement parking. The spaghetti pesto was gewd. I really want to come back.
