I came hoping to try out the mezzanine room and see somewhere new, but the stay was a letdown. The room had flies and quite a few mosquitoes, possibly from the toilet. They landed on my food and bit my feet. The suite sofa was damp and a little dirty, there were red marks on the carpet, and the floor still needed another sweep. The Wi-Fi was slow, and there's no phone in the room to call reception. Staff did respond quickly on WhatsApp, but having a phone would make it much easier to sort out problems. There's no lift either, though I was lucky to have booked a balcony suite and didn't need to use the stairs. The worst part was checkout. Just after noon, the power was cut while I was still in the room, even though I'd asked for permission to stay a little longer on WhatsApp. It felt like being pushed out politely. I was doing ablution and then had to pray without power. Thankfully I didn't slip in the bathroom. That was a really bad experience. There are some good points. The location is convenient for Ciledug, Joglo, and Srengseng, and the room rate matched the app, with no extra charge sprung on me. The AC was cold, the room reasonably clean, hot water worked, and the TV was fine. Reception was okay, and they kept the birthday cake I brought, which was nice. Birthday decorations are available, and the admin replies quickly. The suites are okay and neither huge nor cramped. They're suitable for a family birthday, though not for a group of five or six to sleep. You could sit on the living room floor, but not sleep there. Prices on the app and at the hotel differ a little. For the price, around 450,000++ a night for a balcony suite or 300,000++ for a deluxe room, I expected better hospitality. It costs about as much as Hotel 88, Hotel Amaris, Neo Hotel, and other three-star places, but the service needs to improve. I hope they fix things soon so nobody else has the same experience.
