Hotel Banyuwangi Sintera

Passer Baroe, Jakarta's old business district, has some interesting places to see and a distinctive atmosphere that brings back memories of the past, especially around the food. It's a charming old hotel in a great spot for exploring the area.

The service is friendly and the basic breakfast is surprisingly tasty. For a low price and a convenient location, it's a good deal if all you need is somewhere to sleep. If you want a more modern feel, there are newer boutique hotels at a similar price, though their rooms may be smaller.

The location made getting around easy for me. Pasar Baru market is a short walk away, and it's convenient for reaching most places, including Tanah Abang wholesale market. A bank, several currency exchange shops, and a department store right next door are useful too. The hotel is also close to the Metro station. My room was comfortable, and although the hotel is old, the rooms have been updated recently. The reception area still hasn't been renovated. Staff were courteous and helpful, and the free breakfast in the morning had lots of choices, including a few vegetarian ones. Everything in the family room worked just fine. It was roomy, with clean bedding and a bathroom that had a hot shower and a flush toilet. There was also a sofa, mini fridge, electric kettle, and flat-screen TV.
