Bobobox Pods Kota Tua

I often stay at Bobobox, so this experience at Bobobox Kota Tua was especially disappointing. On arrival around 10:00 PM in heavy rain, I was still completing my booking payment when the parking attendant stopped me and wouldn’t let me park, even after I explained I was a guest finishing a reservation. I waited a while before finally getting a parking ticket. Checkout was difficult too. Twice, the attendant made it hard to leave and insisted on cash for parking. Nobody had told me at check-in that payment was cash only. I asked whether QRIS was possible, but got no help. I was charged the regular Rp39,000 instead of the Rp10,000 per night guest rate, then asked to show my pod number even though I’d shown my reservation the previous night. The needless trouble made me late for work. I usually choose Bobobox when I finish work late, when it’s raining hard, or when traffic home is too bad, so this unprofessional and unhelpful parking management was really unpleasant. I hope the team addresses the attendant’s uncooperative behavior and explains the parking payment policy clearly to guests from the start. I hope they take this complaint seriously. Thank you.

I booked through Fliggy and realized within a minute of getting the confirmation email that I’d chosen the wrong place. I meant to book Bobopod CBC Airport, but Fliggy App listed Bobopod Kota Tua at the top. I didn’t know there were two Jakarta branches. I contacted the hotel right away on WhatsApp and by email. I accept that the mistake was mine, and I’m not arguing about the refund policy, but the check-in date was still 35 days away and I’d only just booked. Making an exception in a case like that, where it wouldn’t cause the hotel any loss or harm, doesn’t seem like an absolute no. I wasn’t insisting on a refund either. Moving the booking to the airport branch would have been fine, since both are managed by Bobopod and cost the same. I don’t understand why changing a hotel booking is treated like a once-in-a-lifetime, huge issue, like getting married or adopting a child.

The only thing is, the sky bed ladder is pretty tall. Otherwise, it’s really nice. The blanket’s kind of heavy, so it keeps you warm and feels like a hug 😆👌 luvv

The historic Kota Tua area was easy to explore from this ideal location. I loved how clean and well maintained everything was, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The capsule rooms felt unique, modern, and comfortable, a nice place to relax after spending the day exploring Jakarta. It’s a stylish setup with a cool mix of privacy and community. A great new kind of stay for solo travelers or anyone looking for a fresh experience in Jakarta. Highly recommend!
