I loved how spacious the pod felt compared with capsule and pod hotels I’ve tried in several countries. The small kitchen was clean and had room to sit, eat, or make something simple, and there’s a water dispenser. Snacks and coffee are available to buy in the lobby on the ground floor. It’s also very affordable and convenient for appointments or events around GBK/Senayan, with Blok M BCA Station and the Blok M area within walking distance. My main issue was the shower: there’s only one per floor, at least on the 4th floor where my pod was, so waits could get long when lots of guests are in town for a major event. That’s why I’m taking off a star. You also have to download an app to lock and unlock your room, which isn’t convenient when you need to carry your phone everywhere, even to the restroom.

For my first Bobobox stay, this was a solid introduction, and I’d consider coming back. The place is quiet and well maintained. Toilets and showers were clean and almost always available, even when things were busy. My pod was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It didn’t feel brand new, but it wasn’t worn out either, and everything worked as it should. My one small gripe is that there’s no water dispenser, which would be especially handy on a longer stay.

They also found an important document of mine and kept it safe for three days until I came to pick it up, which I really appreciate. I had a minor problem with the AC in my pod, but they moved me to another one very quickly.

The staff were kind and helpful, and even though many people were staying, I rarely had to queue for the bathrooms. I was here for a short concert holiday. It’s 550m from Blok M BCA MRT Station and 650m from Blok A MRT Station. Since it was high season, early check-in wasn’t possible, but staff offered to store luggage before check-in. Install the bobobox app and verify your ID ahead of time, since it makes check-in easier and you need the app to open your pod. At check-in, you get a locker key and need to swap your shoes or sandals for the sandals provided by bobopod. The lockers are on the same floor as the pods. My pod QR code wouldn’t unlock the room, but I messaged the host in the app and a staff member came to fix it soon after. There’s a mushola and water refill station on the first floor, a pantry with a microwave on the second, and the third floor is all pods. The lobby is on the ground floor, with cold and hot drinks, ready meals, and snacks on display. I think the cleanliness of the praying sets in Mushola could be improved.
