The staff were helpful and clearly trying their best, but the hotel itself was in terrible shape, especially for the price. It's very old and dirty, and the photos look nothing like what you find there. My room smelled strongly of cigarettes, as did the lobby. There was long hair all over the room, the sheets smelled like another guest, and the pillows were dirty. I asked for fresh linen and towels, but the replacements smelled of smoke too, and the sheets had holes. Only the main light worked. I was offered another room, but it had the same problems. This place badly needs renovation. I'm not a picky traveler, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was clean and spacious enough for a budget hotel, and the price was affordable. We found it easy to get around from here, and there are nearby places to eat, a shopping arcade, and good coffee shops. It works well for a stay with friends or a Jakarta holiday when you mainly need somewhere to sleep.

The room was clean, with no cigarette butts or smoke smell, and the bathroom was clean too, though rather cramped for two. It's an affordable place for couples. I could still hear people walking along the hallway, so the soundproofing only gets three stars from me. The receptionists weren't very talkative.

The rooms are average, but I felt safe with a guard at the entrance and someone at reception. It's close to the local market, with a restaurant nearby, and you can walk to Istiqlal mosque, the biggest mosque in Indonesia.

Although the price is affordable and the bed linen was fair, the room was old and very dirty. The toilet was especially filthy, as shown in the picture, and the damp air was hard to breathe. They call it a three-star hotel, but to me it felt like a non-star melati hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
