DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta Kemayoran

I’d stayed at this hotel before, and after a week of moving between different hotels, I expected basic cleanliness and professionalism from a Hilton property. Instead, my DoubleTree by Hilton Kameiron experience went wrong before check-in was even finished. The front desk staff came across as rude and dismissive, and I felt like an inconvenience, so I cancelled and moved to a nearby hotel for half the price with better working facilities. I’d booked a room with a balcony, but was told none was available. The room they showed me wasn’t ready for guests, with an uncleaned bed and construction dust and debris on the floor. I was also told during check-in that the pool was closed for renovations and that the third and fifth floors were being renovated, none of which had been clearly explained beforehand. The poor service, lack of clear information about the renovations and room condition caused stress and disruption to my trip. This fell far below what I expect. I’ll be escalating it to Hilton management in USA, and based on what happened, I can’t recommend this property.

Bahri, the housekeeper, left a cute handwritten note after cleaning my room. It was such a thoughtful touch. I also had a great time at the gym. There wasn’t a huge range of equipment, but it had what I needed, and early in the morning it was usually empty and peaceful. Breakfast had so many choices, from Indonesian dishes like bubur ayam and soto to Western options. I loved the coffee, especially with some brown sugar (gula merah), and the Indonesian herbal drinks, particularly lemongrass and ginger, were refreshing and made me feel healthy. Gina and the restaurant team were always smiling, friendly and welcoming, which made mornings more enjoyable. The hospitality was great throughout my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Kemayoran, and everything from service to breakfast made me truly satisfied. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Jakarta. Highly recommended!

On my second visit, almost two years after my first in 2024, I had a lovely quick 1N stay and got to see the newly renovated room ID. They upgraded me to a corner King Premium Room, which felt fresh and spacious, with a sofa bed and dining table for 3. It didn’t have a bathtub, unfortunately, but the service was just as great as before and showed that great Hilton hospitality. Thanks, Doubletree Jakarta Kemayoran. Looking forward to coming back.

The hotel has great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere, and the housekeeping team made my stay especially memorable. Every day I came back to find a charming surprise on the bed. Alfina’s towel art was so creative and detailed, and it put a huge smile on my face each evening. Those little touches made the stay outstanding and showed how much she cares about making guests feel at home.
