Dreamtel Jakarta

It feels a little dated next to newer hotels, but it's maintained well, comfortable, and good value for the location. The stay was pleasant and met my expectations. The location is the main draw. If you're visiting Jakarta and want somewhere convenient and well placed, this is a great option.

The location is perfect and the service was good, but the cleanliness was awful. The room itself was okay and average in size. The toilet was disgusting, with a slippery floor, mould, stains, and slime. The walls had obvious yellow and black marks. The worst part was how dirty it was.

The staff were polite and helpful, and breakfast was good. But the room condition, cleanliness, and access issues were so disappointing that I won't come back or recommend the hotel. Our towel and bedsheet were wet, and the bathroom was in poor shape with a strong unpleasant smell. There was no shower curtain, so water covered the bathroom and bathtub whenever we showered. The walls had yellow watermarks and visible mould, and the toilet cover was broken. This also isn't a suitable place for elderly guests or people with disabilities. The elevator only reaches the lobby, and you have to use stairs to get to the lower floor.

The room and toilet smelled bad, but I didn't even bother complaining about them. I was furious with the receptionist and management for not taking complaints seriously. Before going to dinner, I reported that the refrigerator wasn't cooling. When I got back, all my cakes and brownies were covered in ants because I couldn't keep them in the fridge. The receptionist was no help and lied. Other Google reviews about bad service and broken refrigerators are true. This isn't the first time a customer has complained about the refrigerator. Don't book here.
