Eightin Hotel Sudirman Jakarta

Being able to walk to JCC in about 20 minutes was handy during my work event, since traffic made Grab almost pointless. But I wouldn't want to stay here long. The first night, mosquitoes filled the room and bit up my legs so badly I couldn't sleep. I told reception. It was a little better the next night, though I was still getting bitten, even at breakfast. From the third night the mosquitoes eased, but around midnight someone started dragging heavy furniture above my room and woke me. I had to scold the receptionist about it. Calling the in-house food line, 555, at 10PM got no answer either. Things were calmer from the fourth night on. There are stairs in the lobby and nobody offered to help with my luggage. Service felt close to zero, and people smoked by the entrance late at night. Only makes sense as a quick one-night stop for an event at JCC. Not recommended for a longer stay.

Everything else was nice, the room, aircon, bed, TV and charging spot. I liked the butter chicken rice at the upstairs restaurants. Just avoid the first-floor rooms. The toilet is too small for adults, so I'd pay extra for another room.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the potato wedges, tomato chicken roast and cream soup truffle mushroom. It's a small, simple place, but clean and super comfortable for a business trip. The staff were kind and helpful.

The reception staff were really helpful whenever I needed something, and they gave me food and sightseeing advice. Getting around was convenient, so it was easy to go places. I booked Eightin before arriving in Jakarta and felt at home there. It's well equipped, and I liked the plants in the fifth-floor canteen. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice view outside.
