Favehotel Zainul Arifin Hotel

The Superior Room was spacious, and the toilet was decent and clean. It didn't have cockroaches like other favehotel properties. The hotel and room do feel old and run down, though. At check-in, the towels were yellow and covered in stains, and the floor was a little sticky. They brought clean towels when I asked, but those first impressions could be better.

Breakfast was delicious, and the room was nice, clean, and tidy. The hospitality was good too. As a non-smoker, though, I found the smoke smell in the room unpleasant. There are too many smoking rooms, and the scent was quite strong. The AC helped a little but couldn't get rid of it completely.

In Room 111, the space was above average and it was clean. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Wi-Fi wasn't fast, but I could still manage a Zoom video call. The AC was cold, and I thought it was fine. There's no refrigerator, which is common at this price and I didn't really need one, but I wanted to mention it in case someone does. A reasonable option for the price.

Boss, get your facts straight. I asked your very rude receptionist about breakfast. I never asked for vouchers or free breakfast, and I know I bought a room-only stay. My Agoda refund is no longer your business. I booked this filthy hotel because of all the fake reviews. There are far too many fake reviews in Indonesia, and customers suffer for it. The AC in the lobby of your third-class hotel wasn't working, and the rooms were so bad I wouldn't wish them on anyone. You may have customers, but that means nothing. Please take professional classes in business professionalism. I suggest foreign tourists not trust reviews from locals. There are too many fakes. This hotel is disgusting. The toilet seat in my room had pee stains, and even the receptionist said that was bad. Agoda didn't help me. I paid for another hotel, and now I have to wait weeks for a refund. I tried explaining to Agoda that it had taken the last amount from my debit card because I'd lost my CC, but they still didn't care.
