The staff are friendly and helpful, but the rooms look dated, with worn furniture, old carpets, and maintenance problems like broken safes and faulty plumbing. Cleanliness varies, some spots feel fresh while others need a deep clean. From the outside, the hotel looks impressive, though the actual stay didn't meet all my expectations. It's not a great area for exploring on foot. There's little nearby, no malls or decent cafes and shops within walking distance, and the neighborhood feels dull and disconnected. I needed a car or ride-hailing app for pretty much everything. The pool and gym are there, but don't expect modern standards. Fine if you just need somewhere to sleep, but for comfort, convenience, or value, there are better choices elsewhere in Jakarta.

The gym, sauna, and pool are good, and the staff are respectful. It's a very good hotel, though the room doesn't block sound well and I could hear a lot of traffic at night. Breakfast was average.

Golden Boutique Hotel is good value for the price. The building has a grand exterior and a spacious layout, though the steep hill up to the main entrance can be tiring, and getting around the large property takes a fair bit of walking. There's no supermarket nearby, the room cups are tiny, and the lobby music can get too loud. The decor is older and not usually my taste, but it gives the place some charm. My room was small but clean, functional, and free of bad smells or pests. The gym and pool work, and there are four quick elevators, three serving guest floors and one for basement parking. Wi-Fi was generally good, and I believe each room has its own connection, though it occasionally acted up. There are no power outlets by the bed, which is a real nuisance. My key card also stopped working a couple of times and needed resetting. Service was mostly accommodating. One housekeeper regularly brought extra bottled water when I asked, though another didn't. When I asked to have food microwaved, they first said there'd be a charge, which seemed unnecessary for such a small request, but they did it eventually. The gym has a good range of equipment, though much of it is old and rusty, and it closes at night rather than staying open 24 hours. For a low price, the facilities are usable, the rooms are clean, and the staff are generally helpful. I found the stay comfortable and reliable, with excellent value for money.

The breakfast was surprisingly good and had plenty of choice, and the staff were quite helpful. I paid a reasonable price, which is why I still gave this place four stars. It's a good hotel to stay in, and I hope they do proper maintenance in the future. It's an old hotel in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The room was old too, and the hotel felt like it hadn't been maintained properly. It was busy when I visited, with lots of buses from Lampung parked there.
