We had a great night at Grand Dafam Ancol, with a lovely view, good food, and great hospitality. I left my laptop in the room when we checked out, but thankfully got it back.

I paid after contacting what looked like Grand Dafam Ancol Hotel Jakarta through the website and Whatsapp link. The account seemed legitimate, and they sent me payment details, but once I paid they stopped replying. When I went to the hotel, the staff were very concerned and said the listing and payment details weren't theirs. This listing is a scam, be careful.

The breakfast had plenty of choices and tasted good, and the pool was clean and spacious. The lobby staff were friendly too. But for what we paid per night, the room was disappointing: it felt old and wasn't very clean. The bathroom and bathtub curtains were dirty and needed replacing, and the sofa had stains. The room quality needs work, and in its current condition I wouldn't come back.

Seeing German cockroaches all over the place is gross and really uncomfortable. The hotel needs proper pest control. There are effective treatments that can have a domino effect, but they need to be applied thoroughly and regularly. It's surprising management hasn't simply called a pest control service. It really seems like they don't care.

We spent 4 days and 3 nights here, and the service was satisfying. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and ready for us. The restaurant had lots of choices, from Indonesian and western food to tasty snacks and desserts. The building and aesthetic interior design were nice, and the facilities made the stay comfortable. Maybe we'll stay again on our next vacation.
